Cosmos Hub

Cosmos Hub is the central blockchain in the Cosmos ecosystem, designed to connect multiple independent blockchains through its Inter-Blockchain Communication (IBC) protocol. It enables seamless asset transfers and data sharing between different chains, fostering interoperability. The hub uses a proof-of-stake consensus for security and efficiency.

The native token, ATOM, is used for staking, governance, and paying fees within the network. Cosmos Hub acts as a foundation for building sovereign blockchains called zones. This modular approach helps developers create customized networks while benefiting from shared security.
